Mia Wade is a dedicated theater student with a strong passion for acting and playwriting. She would like to thank Mini Mirage Theatre for allowing her writing to be brought to life by her peers and friends. She has performed in Carrie: The Musical, Footloose, Something Rotten, and The Phantom of the Opera with Mini Mirage Theatre. She currently serves as a Stage Manager at South Miami Middle School, where she enjoys contributing behind the scenes while continuing to grow as a performer. Mia is grateful for the guidance and mentorship of Danny Gil and Darcy Hernandez Gil, who have played an important role in her artistic development. Come watch me in Ride the Cyclone!

​​Michelle Erazo is a Junior in the Musical Theater Strand at Miami Arts Studio. She has been performing since she was a child, with favorite roles including Roxie Hart (Chicago), Perfect (Columbinus), Nancy (Oliver!), Morticia (The Addams Family), and she is currently playing Diana in Next to Normal. Beyond acting, Michelle is a published writer, her short story Afflicted won the Grand Prize in La Plume’s high school category. For this showcase, she is excited to share an original play and monologue of her own. She is deeply grateful to Darcy and Daniel Gil for creating a home for her at Mini Mirage!

Huy Nguyen is a current student at Florida International University and pursuing an English Literature track. He is an aspiring author dipping his toes into playwriting and he would like to shoutout Darcy and Danny for their support. Make sure to catch him as Ricky Potts in Mini Mirage’s revival of Ride the Cyclone in April!

Grace Alvarez is a junior in Musical Theater at Miami Arts Studio. She is incredibly grateful to be apart of this amazing show and would like to thank her family and teachers for their unwavering support. Previous roles include Faith in ColumbinUS, Marcy in Dog Sees God, Leaf in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Pearl in These shining Lives

Anthony Reyes is extremely excited and proud to be participating in the first New Play Festival! He has previously performed in shows such as The Addams Family as Lurch, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief as Chiron, and also a student written piece titled Bigfoot’s Pretty Chill. He truly enjoys his work as an actor and would like to send a special thank you to Huy for inviting him over to perform in two of his pieces being presented today. And especially a huge thank you to both Darcy and Daniel Gil for being amazing directors and putting in the time, effort, and care to put this whole production together.

Zero Cruz is thrilled to be in the New Play Festival, showcasing the work of incredibly talented young writers. They’d like to ask for an appropriate chuckle at their jokes and to apologize in advance for the confetti. Shout out to Jullien for the rides to rehearsal!

Jullien Ulloa is super excited to be a part of the first-ever New Play Festival! He has done shows where he has played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Shakespeare in Something Rotten, and Gomez in The Addams Family. He has never done solely acting, he has mainly done musicals. He would like to thank both Darcy and Daniel Gil for the genuine care put into him throughout this process of workshop on these new pieces. He would also like to send a special thank you to Huy for selecting him to be two of his new pieces.

Diana Leiva is thrilled to be a part of the New Play Festival! Other shows she has been in include Mrs. Peacock in Clue, Rebel in Columbinus, and Nostradamus in Something Rotten. She would like to thank Darcy and Daniel Gil for their endless support throughout this process and to the lovely playwrights for their work!

Lucas Camara would like to thank Darcy Hernandez-Gil for writing his bio. He is a junior at Doral Academy, and was recently seen as Pilot in Jesus Christ Superstar, and you can see him as Dan in Next To Normal and Mischa in Ride The Cyclone in 2026. Enjoy the show!
